Behind the Logo

The Pacifica 1 Arts Collective logo is rooted in both place and symbolism. Inspired by the Cosmic (or Galactic) Butterfly found in Mayan and Aztec imagery, reflects transformation, interconnectedness, creativity, and the unseen threads that bring communities together. The arch of the logo echoes the Highway 1 crest, honoring the beautiful coastal city of Pacifica that we call home.

At its center, the number "1" pays tribute to Highway 1, the road that connects our communities and the spaces that make up Pacifica 1 Arts Collective. Much like the butterfly, our collective exists as a meeting place where art, culture, craftsmanship, and community intersect.
